Dear colleagues and friends,
It is with great pleasure and honor to invite you to the upcoming 10th Annual Meeting of the Serbian Neurosurgical Society with International Participation. This year, we will gather in Belgrade, Serbia, from October 30 - November 3, 2024, to discuss and explore the fascinating field of Pediatric Neurosurgery in the 21st century. This topic has been carefully chosen to address the unique and complex issues faced by pediatric neurosurgeons in today's rapidly advancing medical landscape. Under the theme "Challenges and Opportunities," we aim to delve into the various aspects of this specialized branch of neurosurgery that holds immense significance for the well-being of our young patients.
Organizing such a prestigious event would not have been possible without the collaboration and support of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN), The International Academy of Neurosurgical Anatomy (IANA), and the SouthEast Europe Neurosurgical Society (SeENS). Their partnership will enrich the scientific program and ensure a diverse range of perspectives from experts across the globe. We will invite the renowned speakers who are at the forefront of pediatric neurosurgery to share their expertise and insights. Their presentations will provide valuable perspectives on the latest advancements, best practices, and innovative approaches in the field.
In the 21st century, pediatric neurosurgeons are faced with a multitude of challenges and opportunities. Advances in technology, such as minimally invasive techniques and neuroimaging, have revolutionized the field, allowing for more precise diagnoses and less invasive treatments. However, with these advancements come new ethical considerations, as well as the need for continuous education and training to keep up with the latest developments.
By sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practices, we can empower the next generation of pediatric neurosurgeons to provide the highest standard of care. Through interactive sessions, workshops, and courses, we aim to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
The quality of service provided to our patients is of utmost importance. We will explore innovative techniques and advancements in pediatric neurosurgery that focus on function preservation and restoration. Our goal is not only to save lives but also to improve the quality of life for our young patients.
During this meeting, we will cover all fields of neurosurgery, ranging from neuro-oncology to neurotrauma, from congenital malformations to epilepsy surgery. Our scientific program will be designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest research, advancements, and breakthroughs in pediatric neurosurgery.
In addition to the scientific sessions, we have also organized social events and networking opportunities to foster collaboration and camaraderie among participants. We encourage you to take full advantage of these moments to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas, and build lasting professional relationships.
Once again, I extend my invitation to all of you to share your expert opinions and perspectives and participate in this event. Let us explore the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead the pediatric neurosurgery and work towards improving the lives of our young patients.
Welcome to Belgrade! Welcome to Serbia!

Dear Colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen,
As the President of SouthEast Europe Neurosurgical Society, it is my great pleasure and honor to announce and invite You to the 10th Annual meeting of the Serbian Neurosurgical Society with International participation. "PEDIATRIC NEUROSURGERY IN 21 CENTURY – CHALLANGES AND OPPORTUNITIES" is the theme of the meeting organized by the Serbian Neurosurgical Society in collaboration with the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery and the SouthEast Europe Neurosurgical Society. It will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, from October 30th to November 3rd 2024.
The Southeast Europe Neurosurgical Society (SeENS, www.seens.eu) has been founded in 2012. SeENS has succeeded to rebuilt liaisons and to make new once after a period of almost 20 years of poor communication between colleagues in the SE Europe region. Currently SeENS is gathering neurosurgeons from 13 countries of the Southeast Europe region and Turkey. In a 10 years period (2012-2022) SeENS has become an affiliated member of the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) and full member of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS). SeENS is recognized as a very active Society organizing or co-organizing up to 10 events each year.
Rapid development of neurosurgery, emergence of new technologies, modern neuroimaging techniques and improved methods of diagnostics have urged the need to organize such an event.
Concerning the attractiveness and complexity of Pediatric Neurosurgery the list of the invited speakers at this Annual meeting is impressive and will include the World’s leading experts in the field of neurosurgery.
It is my great honor to invite You to participate at this Annual meeting and to discover and enjoy the beautiful city of Belgrade.
I cordially invite You to Belgrade, Serbia to experience and share noteworthy scientific and social moments.
Sincerely,
Prof. Dr. Tomislav Sajko
Honorary President of the Meeting
